~ Liberal Kindergarten in Action: So Many Retard Jokes, So Little Time (Updated)

Try using the ‘r’ word if you’re a conservative, or even just a moderate Republican.

No, really, go ahead and try it — I dare you.  I guarantee you’ll be Palined before you finish typing the first paragraph.

But if you’re lucky enough to be part of the oh-so-smart-and-trendy, elitist, intellectual progressive liberal loop, you can be an eternal kindergartener, a child in an adult body, a grown-up with an educated mind but an undeveloped understanding of human decency and civility.  You’re allowed to pretend that anything  is humor, no matter how offensive, and you’re free to write stuff like this with complete impunity:

Today, Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska.  While many are speculating about her motives, a section of her announcement makes it crystal clear:  She wants to make a difference by promoting mental handicaps, increasing the number of voters who will support her retarded platform!  [skip}

Palin is about to embark on a career of causing babies to be born retarded.  Down Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, crack addiction, or a good old-fashioned kick to the pregnant tummy, it doesn’t matter to Palin.  She wants the world to have more Trigs...  She already tests well with the Retarded demographic, and also the Retarded Sympathizer demographic... 20 years from now, she’ll only be in her late 60s.  She’ll be able to run for President on the Retard ticket . . . no doubt with full support of Retardeds, Retarded Sympathizers, and the Politically-Correct.  [emphasis added, as if I needed to highlight any of it]

That’s some raucous, side-splitting stuff – if you’re a loser whose goal is to impress other losers.

Now add that sparkling sample of progressive wit to the mainstream media’s onslaught of attacks on Palin and her family, its gleeful, juvenile fascination at being able to relish some frat-house ’tea-bagging’ jokes thinly disguised as news coverage, Bill Maher’s and David Letterman’s unashamed, no-conscience-involved jokes abour Sarah Palin and her daughters, the now-pulled-off-the-web article from the Huffington Post by Erik Sean Nelson called “Palin Will Run in ‘12 on More Retardation Platform’ , and much, much more (don’t even get me started on Olbermann) — and you start to realize the stark reality that progressive liberalism is an ideaolology with no conscience, no soul, no class, no decency, no civility, no values, no morals and absolutely no filter for right and wrong.   Unless you count the corrupt values they’ve dredged up from the cesspools of human indecency.

Over-grown kindergarteners, every last one of them.

Speaking of losers being impressed — Paul Begala is out today, capably representing the liberal smear machine.  As with all progressives, he has everything backwards — Sarah Palin is the juvenile, he says, and criticism of her is more than justified.  Today, in the Huffington Post (Sarah Palin Turns Pro), Begala continues the infantile and nonsensical attacks on Palin, calling her statement of resignation “incoherent, bizarre and juvenile”: 

Sarah Palin makes Mark Foley, the congressman who sent filthy emails to pages look almost normal.  She makes David Vitter, the senator who was hanging out with hookers, look almost boring.  She makes Larry Craig, caught hitting on a cop in a men’s room, look almost stable.  She makes John Ensign, the senator who was having an affair with a staffer, look almost humdrum (and compared to the rest of the GOP whack-jobs, he is).

Gov. Palin’s official announcement that she is resigning as chief executive of the great state of Alaska had all the depth and gravitas of a 13-year-old’s review of the Jonas Brothers’ album on Facebook.  She even quoted her parents’ refrigerator magnet… I’m no latter-day Strunk & White, just a guy who was struck by Palin’s spectacularly rambling and infantile prose.  It bespeaks a rambling and infantile mind.

What he calls “rambling and infantile,” many read as candid and sincere.  And is he really comparing Sarah Palin to men with sex behavior problems?  Does that even make any sense?  No — it’s just a grade-school-like attack, similar to the old  ”Eww, don’t let Sarah touch you — she’s got cooties!”  

Except these are adults making “cootie attacks.”  They’re just taking the form of “Eww, she has a retarded baby” , “She talks like a retard”, and “She really is totally retarded!”  Like I said – no class, and absolutely no filter for right and wrong.

I can only shake my head.  But at least Begala has made a career out of making buffoonish, childish over-statements and ad hominem attacks, so nobody takes him seriously anyway.
